Refund Policy
Last updated: July 21, 2026
The short version
If we haven't started your filing, you get 100% back. If we can't complete your filing, you get 100% back. The only money we can't return is a government fee already paid to an agency on your behalf.
1. Cancellation before work begins
Cancel any order before a specialist begins preparing it and receive a full refund of all service fees, no questions, no cancellation fee. Email admin@standardfilings.com with your order number.
2. Filings we cannot complete
If your filing cannot be completed, for any reason on our side, or because a government agency rejects it and a corrected refiling also cannot be completed, you receive a full refund of our service fee.
3. Rejections we can fix
If an agency rejects an application for a correctable reason, we correct and refile at no additional charge. You may instead choose a full refund of our service fee at that point.
4. Government fees
Where an order includes a government fee (for example, a state LLC filing fee), that fee is itemized before you pay. Once a government agency has accepted a fee, it is not within our power to refund it; everything paid to us remains covered by this policy. EIN orders include no government fee, the IRS charges nothing for an EIN.
5. Completed work
Once a filing is delivered (for example, your EIN has been issued and emailed to you), the service is complete and fees for that filing are no longer refundable, the guarantee covers completion, not change of mind after delivery.
6. Instantly delivered document add-ons
Some optional add-ons (for example an operating agreement, banking kit, compliance calendar, or license research report) are generated and delivered immediately. If you cancel the whole order before we begin your filing (Section 1), these are refunded in full along with everything else, even though you already received them. Once the order's filing is delivered, they are part of the completed work under Section 5.
7. How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method, initiated within 2 business days of approval. Your bank may take additional days to post it.
